According to The New York Post the Portuguese striker has commissioned the sprawling spread to be built in the popular beach town of Cascais.
The mansion will span nearly 930 square metres along the Atlantic coastline and will be packed with luxurious amenities.
The home is slated to be completed by the end of the year.
The most expensive home in Portugal in Albufeira in the country’s south is valued at around $40m. The price tag on Ronaldo’s new home is expected to dwarf that when it is finished.
The project is already a year behind schedule and the cost of the build itself is said to be around $55m.
The property will feature its own gym, a massage room, a cinema and an enormous garage capable of storing Ronaldo’s luxurious fleet of cars.
The primary suite will measure 300 sqm.
The uber luxurious home will also boast sweeping water views, an outdoor pool, and an indoor glass-bottom pool with a walkway underneath, allowing guests to look up at swimmers from below.
In 2019 Cristiano Ronaldo secured himself the most expensive flat ever sold in Lisbon, paying more than $11 million.
The dazzling penthouse is located next to the Eduardo VII Park, close to the neighbourhood where Ronaldo spent some of his humble beginnings.
From his fame on and off the pitch, Ronaldo has amassed a significant fortune from football. According to Forbes, the 39-year-old was the world’s highest-paid athlete in 2023, earning $205 million that year.
Currently Ronaldo appears to be living it up in Saudi Arabia while he waits for his new digs to be completed. Last February The Post reported that he was staying in a $300,000-a-month luxury suite in the country’s Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh’s Kingdom Tower.
