The Croatian midfielder who played for Barça spoke about Ronaldo ‘s impeccable work ethic and how the Portuguese star’s presence has brought a lot of influence to Al Nassr’s dressing room.
Vucevic idolizes Ronaldo
The former Blaugrana player collaborated with the Real Madrid icon during his time in Saudi Arabia. Despite ending his stint with the affluent Al Nassr football team, Vucevic has consistently praised Cristiano Ronaldo for the profound impact he left.
Vucevic shared, “Ronaldo is driven by an unwavering belief in his quest to be the best at everything. He speaks about it openly and backs it up with relentless effort. He trains from dawn till dusk every day. When Ronaldo steps into the locker room, it’s as if a divine presence has arrived. Personally, I view Ronaldo as a true legend.”

This is not the first time Vucevic has praised Ronaldo, as former sporting director Al Nassr eloquently stated: “Cristiano Ronaldo is the father of Saudi Arabia’s new national championship. Because it opened the door for other good players to come here and turned the tournament into an important one with a world ranking.”
Although he is no longer linked to the club, the former Barça midfielder has always had a clear admiration for the legendary Portuguese forward. Vucevic ended his time with the Saudi Pro League team last December after working with the team from 2021 to 2023.
Ronaldo had his sentence reduced
Al Nassr will face another challenge in the Saudi Arabian national championship without the services of iconic striker Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star will have to serve a two-match ban for hitting an opponent with his elbow in the defeat against Al Hilal, which led to his disqualification.

However, the Al Nassr Club did not accept the decision of the tournament Organizing Committee and filed a complaint because Ronaldo was provoked many times by opposing players. On this basis, Ronaldo’s sentence was eventually reduced and he was only suspended for one match, plus another match due to the red card.
Ronaldo has long become an indispensable star for his team as he left Man United and joined the Gulf side in early 2023, with his goals and personality increasing the club’s value. More recently, Al Narrs won 3-1 in the match without Ronaldo against Al Feiha in the championship, thanks to Sadio Mane’s double. Al Nassr still hopes that Mane will replace the suspended Cristiano Ronaldo in the match against Al Khaleej and help the home team overcome the difficulties.
Ronaldo will face the same opponent, Al Khaleej, again in the Copa del Rey semi-finals on May 1. The Middle Eastern rich man hopes to advance deeper in this area. Al Nassr risks ending the season without titles as he leads Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League and is eliminated from the AFC Champions League.
