An enthusiastic fan created quite a challenge for security, driven by his overwhelming admiration for his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal defeated Scotland 2-1 early this morning in the second game of Group A1 of the UEFA Nations League 2024–25. Although he didn’t start the game, Cristiano Ronaldo did get on the pitch during the second half.
In the 88th minute, he was the one that gave Seleccao the lead. Ronaldo was in the “sights” of the fervent supporters following his goal that turned the tide and helped Portugal recover.
As Portugal was pursuing Scotland’s goal in the last minute of regulation time, a fan slipped past security, crossed the pitch, and made his way to Ronaldo.
The security personnel had a great deal of trouble with this guy. As the security guard attempted to apprehend the man, he tripped and collapsed. But this overly enthusiastic admirer was apprehended in less than a minute.
The supporter wearing a Portugal shirt was stopped by security personnel, who also made him kneel while keeping Ronaldo motionless. Ronaldo, for his part, did not move to defend or separate himself from the fan. After that, he went to the sidelines to get the ball.
This fan sought to talk to Cristiano Ronaldo as they were leaving the stadium. Ronaldo did not appear confused despite the fact that the situation was highly unexpected because he was too familiar with this scene.
This morning’s goal against Scotland marked Ronaldo’s 901st goal overall. Prior to that, a goal he scored a few days ago against Croatia brought him to the 900 goal milestone.
