Coach Roberto Martínez will host an exciting open training session on June 15 in Gutersloh, where fans can watch Ronaldo and his teammates in action!
According to Fox Sports, 6,000 free tickets were given to spectators who love the Portuguese team, but more than 50,000 people visited the ticket distribution page. These banknotes have been resold on many different websites for up to 1,000 euros (27 million VND).
While the Portuguese team was practicing, an enthusiastic fan jumped over the fence and ran straight onto the field. After passing two security guards, this guy rushed to hug Ronaldo. Ronaldo allowed his fan to take a selfie with him before security removed him.
A few minutes later, about 10 more fans burst onto the field to approach the Portuguese players. Goalkeeper José Sa even rushed to “block” one of the fans who was running towards him.
Given the chaotic scene, the police had to escort Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates off the training ground. Fortunately, no Portuguese players were injured.
The Portuguese team is in Group F along with Türkiye, Georgia and Czechia. Coach Martínez and his team will play the opening match of EURO 2024 against the Czech Republic at 2:00 a.m. on June 19. EURO 2024 will probably be Cristiano Ronaldo’s last international tournament with the Portuguese team.
