Real Madrid has officially signed Kylian Mbappé on a 5-year contract from PSG on a free transfer. Following the announcement, Mbappé shared a childhood photo of himself with Cristiano Ronaldo, who in turn sent a heartfelt message of support to the French star.

French 2018 World Cup champion Kylian Mbappé took to Instagram to share following Real Madrid’s official announcement. Mbappé posted a series of photos of himself wearing the Real Madrid shirt as a child and said his dream had come true. One of the photos is an image of Mbappé taken with Ronaldo during his visit to Real Madrid as a child.

Ronaldo is considered by many to be the greatest player in Real Madrid’s history and the 39-year-old Portuguese superstar soon posted a comment below Mbappé’s post. Ronaldo wrote: “It’s my turn to look at you. It’s a joy to see you light up the Bernabéu. #Go Madrid”.
Ronaldo’s comment attracted more than 300,000 likes in just a few hours and fans are enjoying the moment of respect between the two superstars. Mbappé idolized Ronaldo as a child, and his bedroom walls were covered with photographs of the Portuguese player.
Meanwhile, Mbappé’s Instagram post read: “The dream has come true, I am very happy and proud to join my dream club @realmadrid.
No one can understand how excited I am right now. I look forward to meeting you, Madrid fans, and thank you for your incredible support. Welcome Madrid!”

Real Madrid’s website is down after the Spanish football giant finally announced the signing of Kylian Mbappé on a free transfer from PSG. After winning the Champions League, Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Mbappé in a short time. The enthusiasm of the Madrid fans and the football public in general regarding this news seems to have caused the Real Madrid website to crash.
Mbappé has been wanted by Real Madrid for a long time, but it was not until this year, when Mbappé announced his departure from PSG, that new opportunities opened up for the Champions League and La Liga champions last season. Mbappé agreed to a significant pay cut after signing a five-year contract with Real Madrid. The 25-year-old French superstar will receive €15m (£12.8m) per season at Madrid, compared to the €25m (£21.4m) he earns at PSG.

Real Madrid also paid Mbappe a bribe of £85.5 million as a signing fee, £200,000 more than they spent, a club record amount, to buy Gareth Bale from Tottenham in 2013.
The arrival of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid occurs at a quiet time in the transfer market. Big transfer deals usually take place after big tournaments, while the Euro 2024 final will start in about 10 days in Germany.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé left PSG with a double Ligue 1 title and French national cup. Last season, Mbappé scored 44 goals in 48 games in all competitions for PSG. Mbappé left PSG as the club’s all-time leading scorer with 256 goals in 308 appearances during his seven years in Paris.
