On November 6th, a passerby discovered the dog and her pups in a field near the village of Elphin, as reported by the Irish Times. Assistance was quickly sought, and the canine family was brought under the care of the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA).
Hugh O’Toole, the ISPCA manager, expressed deep concern over the neglect faced by the young dog and her puppies, emphasizing the grave risk posed to their lives by leaving them abandoned in such dire conditions.
