Ngl we’ve been wanting to know if Ronaldo and Georgina are officially Mr and Mrs for a while.
Rumours that the couple, who met in 2016, were set to tie the knot went into overdrive earlier this year when Georgina shared a white and gold ‘invite’ on her Instagram stories.
Featuring the word “announcement”, followed by a letter with a heart emoji and “& Georgina Rodriguez”, the digital invite included a date and time, stating “2024, Tue, 05, Mar at 7.00pm, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia”.
While Cristiano wasn’t mentioned in the invite, the post immediately had her 56.7 million followers speculating if she was to become Mrs Ronaldo.
However, we’ve never seen any pics or heard an official marriage announcement from the sporting legend and Argentine-born Spanish model Georgina, and since their KSA move many have wondered if they’ve wed.
But now, Cristiano has appeared to confirm he is a hubby as he referred to Georgina as his “wife” in a new video clip. Awww.
In the footage, shared on wearable health & fitness brand Whoop’s Instagram page, the ex-Manchester United star can be seen working out in his home gym.
Sharing that Georgina is no longer his girlfriend, but his wife, he explains: “When I am not training at the club I like to work with my wife at home. Because I can push her and she can push me too.”
His choice of words did not go unnoticed by fans who flooded the comments.One typed: “Did he say my wife? Are they now secretly married?” another added: “Ronaldo say with his wife️️”
More joined in: “@cristiano when did you get married with her calling her “my wife” and “I like to work with my wife at home, because l can push her and she can push me too” 🥹🥰🫶.”
Ronaldo and Georgina are currently based in Saudi Arabia after the footie name joined Saudi club Al-Nassr in 2022.
ICYMI, Cristiano and Georgina first met in 2016 at a Gucci boutique in Madrid, where Rodriguez was serving as a shop assistant. As they say, the rest is history.
We hope to see the wedding pics soon, as we can bet that Georgina ate when it came to bridal glam.
